James 1:13 reminds us that "God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone." Temptation isn't from God - it's something we need to overcome through prayer.

Satan can't force us into temptation. The "devil made me do it" excuse doesn't hold up. The enemy can create opportunities and motivate us toward sin, but he cannot make us do anything against our will. Through Christ, we have authority over the enemy.

Romans 8:26-27 explains: "The Spirit helps in our weaknesses, for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought. But the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth (John 16:13). The Spirit helps us understand the Bible in ways our natural mind cannot grasp. He brings revelation knowledge and spiritual discernment.

3. Christ in You, the Hope of Glory

Colossians 1:26-27 speaks of "the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints... which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

This mystery of Christ living in us is the foundation of our relationship with God. It's what gives us the right to be in His presence, to come boldly before Him, and to know we're accepted without having to earn or prove anything.

1. How to have a successful marriage - modeled after Christ's relationship with the Church

2. How to function as part of the Body of Christ - using your unique gifts to bless others

How Can I Start Praying in the Holy Spirit?

1. Make room for the Holy Ghost - Set aside time specifically for prayer.

2. Yield your tongue to Him - Allow the Holy Spirit to pray through you without your mind getting in the way.

3. Be consistent - Smith Wigglesworth said he might pray in tongues only 10 minutes a day, but he wouldn't go more than 10 minutes without praying.

4. Bring your concerns to Him - Start by saying, "Father, I bring my [situation] to you, and I let you, Holy Spirit, pray through me for that thing."

5. Release your faith - After praying in the Spirit, say, "Holy Spirit, thank you. I agree with you. I release my faith. I don't know what you said, but I know it was God's perfect will."

6. Listen for direction - Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you about what to do next.

Life Application

The Holy Spirit isn't on a time clock - He's in you 24/7, ready to work through you whenever you allow Him to. This week, challenge yourself to:

4. Act on what He reveals - Whether it's forgiving someone, making a phone call, or simply letting go of worry, follow through on the Spirit's promptings.

• How might my relationships, decisions, and spiritual growth change if I consistently prayed in the Spirit?
